- ½ lb ground beef
- 4 slices sandwich bread
- ¼ cup butter softened
- ½ white onion sliced thin
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- ¼ tsp seasoned salt
Burger Sauce
- 2 tbsp mayonaise
- 1½ tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp mustard
Burger
Form ground beef into two ¼lb patties, large enough to cover the sandwich bread. Season with seasoned salt and cook in a pan over medium high heat until brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
To assemble, layer one slice of bread with desired amount of burger sauce, one cheese slice, caramelized onion, burger patty, another cheese slice, more burger sauce, and other slice of bread.
Butter the outside of the sandwich and grill over medium heat, about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown.
