Chocolate Brownies

The best chocolate brownies with batter that is cooked on the stove so it's safe to lick the bowl!

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 slightly beaten eggs
  • ½ cup flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup Baker's German Sweet Chocolate chopped in chunks

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350°F and grease a 8 by 8-inch pan.
  • In medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Add sugar, vanilla and eggs and mix until smooth. Stir in flour, cocoa and salt and mix, ensuring there are no clumps of flour left.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle chocolate evenly over the batter.
  • Bake 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool slightly and enjoy!

Notes

Any chocolate can be used I just think the German baking bars give this recipe a little something extra!
