My version of the classic breakfast recipe.

Ingredients

heavy cream

milk

sugar

cinnamon
pinch

slices
thick sliced bread

tbsp
butter
plus more for serving
maple syrup for serving
Instructions
In a shallow bowl, mix together egg, cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt and mix well to combine.
Heat a large pan over medium heat and melt butter.
Coat each side of bread well in custard mixture and once butter is bubbling, add soaked bread.
Cook on each side until golden brown on each side.
Serve with butter and maple syrup.
Notes
The milk and heavy cream can be subbed for half and half!
