Ingredients

  • 7 fresh jalapeños
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 cloves garlic smashed

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, and salt and bring to a boil.
  • Slice jalapeños thinly (remove the seeds and ribs if you want it less spicy) and add to pickling liquid with smashed garlic cloves.
  • Let simmer until jalapeños turn an army green color, about 7 minutes. Remove from heat and spoon into a mason jar to store.
