‘Italian’ Meatballs

I'm not Italian so there are some shortcuts here, but these still slap.

Ingredients

  • ½ lb ground chuck
  • ½ lb sweet Italian sausage
  • 1 egg
  • cup parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • ¼ onion minced
  • tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 24 oz jar pasta sauce

Instructions

  • Combine ground chuck, Italian sausage, egg, parmesan cheese, milk, bread crumbs, crushed garlic, minced onion, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, into a bowl and mix well to combine.
  • Scoop mixture using a tablespoon, and roll into a ball.
  • Heat one teaspoon of olive oil on a large non-stick pan over medium high heat and sear meatballs until brown on all sides. Once cooked remove to a paper towel lined plat to drain grease.
  • In another pot heat pasta sauce. Add meatballs and simmer in sauce for 20-30 minutes.
  • Enjoy over pasta or on a meatball sub.
